Music in the High Cathedral “Stephans Dom” – Passau
With the 17974 pipes and their 233 stops, the organ in Passau's St. Stephen's Cathedral is considered the largest Catholic church organ in the world. For visitors from all over the world the "Domorgel" is a "must" when staying in Passau. Enjoy the music.

Celtic Village Gabreta

Dreisessel in the Bavarian Forest

Granite Christmas – Christkindlmarkt in Hauzenberg
From 28.11.2019 on all Advent weekends Thursday to Sunday: A special experience with a fantastic atmosphere is the "Granitweihnacht" in Hauzenberg, an unusual Christmas market that takes place every year in Advent on the site of the "Steinwelten" (stone worlds) in the old quarry. It is definitely worth a visit.
Hiking holiday & cycling Bavarian Forest
In direct and near surroundings there are a variety of hikes for young and old. One of the most beautiful cycling experiences is certainly the Danube Cycle Path from Passau to Vienna. The surrounding area is also ideal for mountain bike tours.
Hiking on the Goldsteig
The Goldsteig leads through the low mountain ranges of the Upper Palatinate and Bavarian Forest. With a new route through the Czech Republic, unlimited hiking is now possible.
Neuschönau: Baumwipfelpfad (Treetop path)
Perhaps the longest treetop path in the world can be found in the Bavarian Forest near Neuschönau. On a barrier-free length of approx. 1.3 km in total, it takes visitors to a seemingly different world and offers unique views and experiences. A maximum gradient of 6% allows wheelchair and stroller access to walk in 8 to 25 meters above the forest floor in unspoiled nature.
Passau: Veste Oberhaus and Oberhausmuseum
In the 800-year-old Veste Oberhaus, history comes alive in a unique way. With 65,000 square meters of converted space, it is one of the largest surviving castles in Europe. In addition to the Oberhaus Museum, the Veste now houses the Culture | Youth Hostel Passau, the observatory and the restaurant "Das Oberhaus". The view from the Veste on Passau and the confluence of the Danube, Inn and Ilz is overwhelming.
Steinwelten (Worlds of Stone)
Since 2006, the "Steinwelten" - worlds of stone - in the "Granitzentrum Bayerischer Wald" in Hauzenberg have fascinated visitors with their monumental architecture, exciting productions and informative exhibitions. The stories about the granite, this cold blood of the earth, inspire children like adults, professionals and laymen alike. An abandoned quarry with a romantic lake form the grandiose backdrop for a unique architecture that forms an intimate unity with the themes and contents that are staged in the house and in a historic log break. A special experience is the "Granitweihnacht" (Christmas of granite), which takes place every year in the Advent on the grounds of the Steinwelten.
